Transforming Raw Spaces to Reflect a Powerful Brand.

The 2014 Girls Write Now Awards was an annual benefit held at the legendary Bowery Hotel. More than 200 guests joined for a cocktail reception, silent auction, live photo booth, and seated program honoring Gloria Steinem, Dawn L. Davis, and Roberta Kaplan.

On International Day of the Girl 2014, Girls Write Now hosted a moderated panel with an evening complete with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an inspiring panel of women leaders. Exploring the intersection of writing and feminism, panelists delved into questions as timeless as writing’s power of catharsis and as topical as the role of men in the movement.

A launch for an intellectual and creative collective.

Electric Revival organizes brilliant writers, lawyers, artists, and educators into an intellectual and creative collective. The collective produces a book quarterly that provides ER with a tool to organize a wider audience and build an insurgent movement for change in America that is grounded in Hip-Hop culture, intellectual rigor, Black morality, and love. Michelle Paul Events is the lead producer for all Electric Revival quarterly events.

When we first tapped Michelle to coordinate our launch party, we thought she’d only be helping us manage its logistics. Instead, she singlehandedly turned our vision for a launch event into a reality! She consulted us in order to hone our idea; she organized us so that we could set and accomplish an array of objectives; she managed the nitty-gritty details that make any event a headache to host; and she made sure that everyone involved had an awesome time on the day-of —including us, the business owners. Because she provides a totality of services, and at such a remarkable level of quality, I give Michelle Paul Events the highest recommendation possible. Make your dream event come true.

An eye for the details.

Below is a snapshot from one of our favorite brides and grooms who were married at a historic church in Brooklyn followed by a reception at Houston Hall in downtown New York City. We provided day of wedding coordination, which means a month before the event we stepped in to help with last minute arrangements and management of vendors. We were there on the big day to make sure everything went according to plans - including venue setup, bridal party and groomsmen coordination, travel coordination, and more!

6th Annual Take ‘Em to School Poker Tournament

Education Reform Now (ERN) works to ensure that policies are in place so that every child has access to great neighborhood schools. The annual Take ‘Em to School charity poker tournament raises funds for ERN’s work to advance high quality public education for all students. Michelle Paul Events provided silent auction and prize coordination with external contributors, creation of printed materials, day of support, and working in collaboration with WCMG.

Michelle was a great addition to our event planning committee this year. We always have issues with our silent auction and prize process due to the amount of communication and detail orientation it requires. We had Michelle take over this entire process as one of her tasks and it was seamless for the first time in five years. She was also very flexible with her hours and made herself available all the times I needed her on short notice. I look forward to working with her again.

Events championing America's public school children.

Democrats for Education Reform New York (DFER) is our first-ever client. DFER NY hosts an Education BBQ Series every other month that gathers groups of individuals to learn, share, and discuss how to advance issues of education reform and innovations in education. Michelle Paul Events leads the planning of this series as well as DFER NY's fall awards ceremony. Our services have also included design of informational printed materials used in development meetings and at events.

Working with Michelle takes all of the stress out of planning an event. She is so detail oriented that you never worry about whether something is taken care of. She works relentlessly, professionally and joyfully to ensure that your vision, or the one she helps you create, comes to fruition. I plan on using her for all events going forward, personally and professionally.
